I’m under 18 and in need of support

If you’re worrying about something, talk to an adult you trust as soon as possible.
This could be:

someone in your family, like your mum, dad or carer
someone at school, like a teacher or Place2Be (if you have it in your school)
your doctor
an organisation like Shout, Childline or the Samaritans.
Kooth is an online wellbeing community where you can get free, safe and anonymous support.
Please note that Kooth is not available in all areas of the UK.

If their life is in immediate danger, call 999.

If there’s no immediate danger, we recommend you talk to someone who can help you understand what your child might be going through. They can then refer you to support and help available in your area.

You could:

talk to their school
make an appointment with their GP
take them to A&E if they need more immediate help
talk to the Place2Be staff member at their school OR a similar support service if the school doesn’t have Place2Be
talk to the Young Minds' Parents Helpline, which you can call for free on 0808 802 5544 (9.30am-4pm, Monday-Friday, UK)
contact an organisation like Shout or the Samaritans.
